ASO6 Senior Project Officer/s

- Short term government contract, $65-$69.00/hr
Are you an experienced project officer, able to “hit the ground running” and work in a fast-paced and changing environment?
I have two contract opportunities available (immediate start) for experienced project officers to support a finance reform program with a major SA government agency. The implementation of the new financial management system changes the way finance activities are performed across government and impacts a broad range of stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the effective provision of a high-quality program office function for the FRP, including assisting with the management of the project documentation (i.e. integrated project plan and risk and issues registers, etc), the secretariat role of governance forums (i.e. developing agendas, distributing meeting packs and minute taking, etc) and general program governance arrangements.
- Contribute to effective provision of high quality overall administrative support function for the FRP, including HR matters (i.e. such as contract extensions and new position creations) and new starter induction within the FRP team.
- Provide a quality assurance function for project documentation, including adherence to the requirements set out in the Project Management Plan.
- Manage and undertake specific tasks that contribute to the timely and successful completion of projects.
- Minimise project risk exposure through timely reporting, escalation, and resolution of issues.
Ideally you will:
- Experience in undertaking projects and performing project support and administration support activities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in the collection, presentation, and analysis of information.
- Proven ability to prioritise and organise work to meet deadlines, including managing competing demands and tasks in a demanding work environment.
- Experience in the application of project management methodologies.
- Highly developed skills with the Microsoft Office suite of products (including Outlook, Excel and Powerpoint).
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure with the ability to be innovative and the capacity to assist in identifying and implementing initiatives to improve efficiency and/or service quality.
